Performing specified installation work (Assembly and disassembly of overhead cables 20 kV-380 kV, steel construction and installation, rope work, connection, assembly of wires in substations, etc.) on the construction sites of the SEAR GmbH in Germany and abroad. You are responsible for the proper execution of the work assigned to you in your section.

This role will include:

- execution of works on the basis of the high-quality work instructions in compliance with the prescribed time limits
- correct operation of winches, ropes, ladders, lifting gear and other assembly tools
- monitoring and documentation of material supplies for your area of responsibility
- complying with environmental protection and accident prevention requirements
- involvement in documentation of changes in the installation documentation
- participation in the streamlining work with other companies

- skilled trade (such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, metal construction, pipe network construction, roof construction, facade construction, scaffolding, etc.)

Electrical engineer for planning or electrical equipment (for our branch office Süd)

About your duties/ responsibilities:

You are responsible for the technically correct electrical layout of cable systems in accordance with rules and requirements.
An important aspect of the support is dimensioning of low voltage and medium voltage cables. You will support our teams in the cable tray planning.
This task will involve operations in engineering switching systems, lightning protection and earthing systems.
You implement technical and time requirements of a project under the leadership of the project management independently.

Vocational training

If electricity means a lot to you and you are interested in vocational training to become an electronics technician for industrial engineering then you are welcome to join us! We offer solid technical vocational training in a variety of national and international fields. Be it at the substation on land or at sea, in the construction of power plants or industrial halls, your acquired knowledge is needed everywhere. We are dedicated to offering you more training opportunities to enable you to work as a construction manager or project manager after you have successfully completed your vocational training. Internship

We offer internships in the following areas:

- computer science with a focus on MES, database systems, DotNet or equivalent and angular web development

Tariff commitment

SEAR GmbH is member of the NORDMETALL Association of Metal and Electrical Industry and applies tariff regulations. Thus, remuneration of our employees increases in accordance with collective agreements. The monthly wages laid down will be increased by 4.3 % with effect from April 01, 2018.

Employees receive a 50% increase in holiday allowance for 30 working days and a 50% Christmas bonus in November after working for the company for 36 months.

Frequent travellers have the opportunity to access a company car which can also be used privately. Special conditions apply.

Subsidy for lodging

We pay our employees fixed amounts (per diem) for working outside Rostock.

Our employees have the possibility to access subsidised meals at two canteens within Rostock.

Pension

SEAR has contracts with two major pension funds with a positive reputation. Employees are thus able to make savings for their future by using income tax and pension payments. SEAR GmbH contributes its own share to the pension fund, i.e. when €100 is deducted from one's pay, €120 is paid into the fund.

Equal representation

Participation and contribution is a tradition in our company that has had long and good standing. Since Germany's reunification, the executive management and works council have dealt openly and honestly with each other. Members of our works council are fully trained and perform their duties responsibly.

Communication

Flat hierarchies and open doors lead to quick decisions and responses. Regular information, e.g. via the company's intranet or at business meetings promote communication across all levels.

Flexible working hours

Projects often require a high level of time and effort. To be able to react flexibly in peak periods, we have introduced employee attendance accounts with which employees can record accumulated overtime. Employees have the benefit of using hours accumulated during overtime in leisure time.

Appointments and personal obligations relating to e.g. childcare cannot be kept within a 40 hour week. Flexible working time models or shortened working hours enable us to bridge this gap.

Studying part-time

Are you interested in further training after your vocational training? We support employees who would like to study part time.

Payment of a voluntary bonus

On 01.01.2013 a works agreement was signed to enable payment of a voluntary bonus. The purpose this award is to recognize dedicated and loyal staff as well as to motivate employees to further commitment.

Every employee who qualifies receives a bonus for his or her dedication and loyalty from the company after the executive management has taken the economic situation of the company into account.

Payment of child care costs for pre-school children

SEAR is a family-friendly employer. The SEAR works agreement stipulates that the company will pay a monthly subsidy of 150 Euro per child to its employees in addition to their monthly salary, for children under school age below school age for are costs in a nursery school or similar institution.

Sabbatical

Employees have the opportunity to take a longer break sabbatical from work (longer break). This period should be between 3 and 6 months and must be coordinated individually with the respective supervisors, taking into account operational requirements.

Mentoring system

A mentoring system was introduced at SEAR GmbH at the beginning of September 2014. New employees are offered technical and social facilitation to help them integrate into the company.
